Crochet this Women’s Peak Hat crochet design. I was compelled by the brim and button to grab my attention. I was then looking at the stitches above the brim and absolutely adore the texture of this hat.
This hat can be dress up or even just casual use. I think it’s a really great design.

Hi from Australia Mikey, I’ve been making this hat with a smaller (4mm) hook to match the yarn I already had at home. It’s lookong great and I love your instructions since I consider myself fairly new to crochet (have been crocheting for a little over a year). I have started to do more rounds with, so far, 4 double crochets between each front post double crochet. I think I’ll need to keep going a little bit how do I know when it’s enough? Should it be the size of my crown? Once I’ve got it at the right size what would I do? Would it work if I fpdc into every second dc between the spokes? Does that make sense? Thanks
Will have to resort to the written pattern
I LOVE this pattern. I find I crochet rather tight, so I stepped up to an “I” hook. I have made dozens with this technique and none of them are too small for an average woman. Be sure to choose a yarn that is a weight “4” and try the “I” hook. They are very beautiful and everyone I give one too just raves about the unique and vintage look. Thanks Mikey! You made mastering this pattern a joy!
I just love this pattern.. I made this hat few years ago and many others but I kinda stick to wearing this one every day XD.. so i start new one today in different color…and i used 6mm hook for shells coz i like my hat to be bigger and more fluffy..tutorial is very easy to follow so i dont get comments to make it easier… maybe its not for beginners…not sure….i start crocheting with you and never had any problems sooooo big thumbs up 🙂
Cheers from Slovenia
I had an easier time following foreign language video tutorials. Using so many colors for a tutorial is a terrible idea. As soon as I saw you change the first color I knew this wasn’t for me. I’m happy for those who gained some knowledge and skills.
This is by far the best video crochet instruction I have watched. Mikes spoke very clearly and made the pattern diagram so easy to understand. Thank you so much, Miky! I love your tutorials! ❤️
good lord where did he learn English?
Hi Mikey, I have a question if you could answer it, it would be most helpful. My hat is too floppy. It turned out adorable but it’s has no stability. What could I have done wrong. It fits perfectly, it’s not stretched out or the stitches aren’t too loose. I have no idea why it’s like this. It can’t hold it’s shape. Looks like I need a stablizer.. lol…
I really wanted u to state how many stitches we were suppose to end up with so that I could gauge how on point I was b4 we made it to the brim/visor. . oh well…..great tutorial
This hat looks nice, and if the instructions are not clear as others claim, i’ll find the “errors” and maybe write some tips in the comments box. These tutorials are free afterall, and they vary in quality as much as they vary in quantity. Usually, i’m grateful that the instructors are making the effort to create a video, and I think it’s better to focus on learning something new than writing a bad review (and i’ve Had my own rightful flareups here and there, so i’m Not preaching). Happy crochet, everyone!
He may know what he’s talking bout not disputing that but when teaching need to slow down some and use lighter colours
It has been several years since I crocheted anything. This is a great video. Mine turned out great. Can’t wait to do my next one!
swatch gage. Go up a couple hook sizes if needed.
You are so good, thanks for this tutorial, you gave instructions so good, I started this about 45 minutes ago, i’m on row 12, I’ll finish it tomorrow.
Very nice, but what happened to the lavender yarn?
Avoir explication en francais
plz hindi me translate kijiye
Hi! i am beginner (this is the first hat what i am making) You explain very well (everything is clear for me even i know only few basic crochet) !!!thank you!!!
but mine is very small 🙁 maybe baby size…. what did I wrong? 🙁
Thank you for your wonderful video tutorial!! I do have a question about hook & yarn. If I use a bulky weight yarn that suggests an 8 mm hook, do you think it would work out properly if I only did the crown to round 6 – and then work the rest of the hat as indicated?

Hello my all friends
thank you. just made this for my sister
he thinks this is easy? I watched where he put the chains. I will be happy if no pattern I ever do again does this front post BS.
i loved the design. i made it. but little small to fit. i increased dc from 3 to 4. but now i got even no of dc.please let me know what dc to consider for middle one.
I’m not a hat person, but I love this hat. I made 2 a few years back. I’m making me a 3rd one. It’s so stylish and I love how it fits. Mikey I love your tutorials.
what if you find the hat is coming out too small? is there a way to expand it as a whole i.e. from the beginning of the pattern or once you’re a few inches down in the hat?
Beautiful hat but had difficulty following. Tried almost 10 times and I’m giving up. I saw you putting the crochet in the front spokes but then you would put it in the stitch? I think some of my issues are like others I’ve read. Tried explaining too much, the ‘ad’ on the bottom left, hands in the way. I wish you would’ve zoomed in when starting a new row. Anyway, try it again another time.
I was having trouble with the written pattern, but I found your video and it made the hat so much easier. Thank you so much! I am making it for my daughter who has cancer and has lost her hair, I am sure she will love it.
