Very nice presentation and insight as always. Any comments on the Tilley hat?

Christopher Puleo says:

Great review! How is it in the rain?

MatthiasVargas says:

I’ve been trying out the Patagonia tropic comfort hoody for sun protection and I like it so far. It’s baggy enough that it avoids the problem of rubbing against your ears or trapping heat (as far as I can tell so far) but I’d imagine a stiff wind would blow it right off

Blue Boy Ultralight says:

Nice one. Great hat. This exact hat has been my favourite hiking hat for about the last 9 months. I do love it. However the back neck flap part still annoys me in many ways. 1) It limits my audible perception of the surroundings still somewhat, any material between your ears and the environment is going to do that. I really want to be present when I am hiking through the bush and this limits my ability to do this but its only a minor concern. 2) I don’t like the feel of the rear flap on my neck – it tickles or irritates it at times. 3) In strong wind the rear flap makes are very loud flapping noise like vigorously shaking a tea towel madly, its annoying and disconcerting particularly when its so close to your ears. So……. I have just discovered two other hat systems that are even better than this hat. I will do a video on them soon to share with everyone. Hey I have also just posted a stupid light 1 pound base weight gear video that you might get a kick out of. Good work Bunbzy – keep it up. I alway enjoy your vids. Blue Boy

Hey from Australia!! I love this hat and have worn it with my OR Helium raincoat in Tasmania and it worked fine. Also have the visor, but this is my fave. PS love your reviews; short and to the point.

Now your talking….. Ive been wearing Sunday Afternoons products for along time. When you do need a ball cap they ,are a cool one called “eclipse” which also folds and vents

Yautja says:

Oh no he didn’t. Just pick up a Buff Trek Cap and be done with it.
